MESH Design Studio
Many NGO’s and self help groups struggle with design and product development. Their members may have craft skills but little idea of what will sell or how to design products for different markets, Indian and export. Over many years MESH noticed our own supplier groups struggled with these issues and so in February 2008 we opened MESH Design Studio with funding from IM Soir, Sweden.
MESH (Maximising Employment to Serve the Handicapped) is an Indian NGO based in Delhi and working with about 50 groups of disabled or leprosy affected artisans from 14 states throughout India.
MESH trades as a means of rehabilitation in the firm belief that working and earning is a significant means for disabled and leprosy affected people to integrate into general society.
